Camp Terms & Conditions

Idaho Power’s public use, safety standards and camping regulations are intended to promote public safety on Idaho Power lands. Respect the rules, the property and privacy of other visitors and Idaho Power employees. All applicable county, federal and state laws are in effect.

Any person violating applicable laws or Idaho Power’s terms of use, including but not limited to, engaging in disruptive or destructive behavior (as determined by the sole discretion of Idaho Power staff) shall be considered in trespass and shall immediately vacate the area with no refund.

Idaho Power’s intent is to allow reasonable access to designated public use areas. Public access includes, but is not limited to, activities such as hiking, fishing, hunting and camping.

Hunting, trapping, and fishing are permitted on Idaho Power lands, unless the area is posted otherwise. Hunting and trapping are not allowed in developed recreation sites or parks. Hunters and anglers must comply with all federal, state and local regulations. Nothing in this section shall revoke the rights of Native Americans to hunt, fish, and gather.

Idaho Power complies with the American Disabilities Act and provides barrier-free access to appropriate public use areas.

Responsible stewardship of natural resources is a fundamental Idaho Power value. In return for the privilege of using Idaho Power lands, Idaho Power asks that the public also respect the special resource values associated with these lands by demonstrating good stewardship. Trespassing on Idaho Power lands not open for public use is prohibited.

Camping Stay Limits

Idaho Power’s 14-day stay limit begins at 2 p.m. MT the day of your arrival and applies to developed campground facilities and undeveloped/dispersed sites. Campers are required to remove all camping equipment from the camping area. Camping equipment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Tents
  • Vehicles
  • Boats, watercraft
  • Recreation vehicles
  • All personal possessions, including pets

Developed Campgrounds: After reaching the stay limit campers must relocate from the campground to any other campground or dispersed area for five (5) nights before returning to the original campground. This restriction is for anyone staying in the campsite, whether or not they are formally listed on the reservation.

Dispersed Camping Areas: After reaching the stay limit campers must relocate at least five miles from your original camping area for at least five days if you are camped in a dispersed site. After the five days, you may return to your original area, if space is available.

During your stay, you must use the appropriate sanitation facilities. Please remove your waste and trash when you leave. Help us maintain the incredible beauty of the area by leaving the site in better condition than when you found it.
